The number of sessions needed will be influenced by the level of difficulty you are experiencing and your commitment to the therapy.
CBT for phobias, fears and anxiety can be more short term.
But in general a minimum of 6 is adviced to be reviewed as therapy progresses.
You can stop at anytime that you decide. We can review regularly, you are in control of your sessions.
The first appointment is a chance to talk about what has brought you to try therapy. It gives you the opportunity to raise any questions or concerns. We will take a brief background history of your issues and discuss your hopes for the sessions.
You will be expected to pay at the end of the session.
Each session last for 50 minutes.
You will be reminded as you approach the end to allow you time to finish in a place your comfortable with.
Your time starts from appointment time. We ask you to arrive on time but no more than a few minutes before.
You will always see the same counsellor at each appointment, the relationship you build adds to the theraputic process.
If you dont feel the counsellor is right for you try another, dont let it put you off trying therapy.
